About this guide
SuperTools is a free website of online tools and how-to guides, run from Taiwan. The travel eSIM guide explains how eSIMs work abroad: which local networks a plan connects to, why some plans route your data through another country, how much data a trip needs, and how to fix the most common connection problems.
Where the information comes from
- Phone setup steps follow Apple, Google and Samsung support documentation, linked from the relevant pages.
- Network and routing details come from the published specifications of eSIM wholesale plans: the local operators each plan uses and where its data exits to the internet.
- Public holidays, regulations and other facts link to the official source.
Editorial rules
- We don't sell eSIMs and no provider pays for placement on these pages.
- We don't publish "best eSIM" rankings or invented scores. We explain what to compare so you can judge any provider yourself.
- We never describe something as tested unless we have tested it. Estimates say how they were worked out.
- Every page shows when it was last updated. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.
